School Site Council (SSC)
The School Site Council (SSC) determines academic instructional programs and related categorical resource expenditures. All schools that receive federal or state categorical funding are required to have a School Site Council.
The School Site Council:
Sets and reviews school goals.
Sets the Title I Parent and Family Engagement Policy and the School-Parent Compact.
Develops the TItle I parent involvement budget.
Selects school improvements.
Develops the school safety plan.
Oversees the Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) and its budget.
Recommends and submits a site plan to the State Board of Education.
Collaborates with other councils and advisory groups.
Join the SSC!
Five parents/guardians or community members will be elected to the SSC.
To volunteer, come to the Orientation and submit the Self Nomination Form by Friday, September 6, 2024.
